Yoga for Parents and Babies: A Krishnamacharya-Inspired Practice
This nurturing, restorative yoga class is designed for parents to find moments of relaxation and rejuvenation while their babies are welcome to join in a nearby play corner. Rooted in the Krishnamacharya tradition, the practice focuses on mindful movement, breathwork, and the art of rest.
As parents move through the class, they’ll engage in gentle, restorative postures that help release tension, improve flexibility, and calm the mind. The class culminates in a peaceful Savasana, where parents can fully rest and restore. During this time, babies are invited to come together in a play corner with me, allowing parents to enjoy a few moments of undisturbed relaxation while their little ones explore, interact, or simply observe.
This environment not only offers parents the opportunity to experience the deep benefits of rest but also provides babies with a chance to witness that their parents can take time for themselves too. Through this shared practice of self-care, babies begin to learn that relaxation is a healthy and necessary part of life for everyone.
In addition to fostering individual well-being, the class creates a supportive space for parents to connect with others on a similar journey, building a sense of community and shared understanding.
All levels of experience are welcome. Babies of all ages are encouraged to attend.
